500 x 1000 Inline Continuous Fryer

Compact Universal Continuous Frying System for Industrial Food Processing

The 500 x 1000 Inline Continuous Fryer is a compact industrial continuous frying system designed for food processors that need controlled dwell time, consistent oil temperature, oil circulation, and flexible product handling in a smaller production footprint. This fryer can be configured for sinker products, floating products, coated products, vegetables, nuts, snacks, and specialty food applications.

Model Overview

Fryer Size 500 x 1000 mm
Overall Dimensions 1150 x 1350 x 2400 mm
Oil L x W 550 x 500 mm
Oil Capacity 90 L
Installed Heating Power 30 kW
Standard Electrical 600V, 60Hz, 3 Phase
Optional Electrical 220V or 480V options may be reviewed depending on facility requirements

Dimensions are external overall size. Oil L x W refers to the internal oil tank length and width.

Electrical Planning Guidance

This fryer can be reviewed with different 3-phase electrical options depending on the customer’s facility. Higher voltage typically lowers the amperage requirement, which can help customers and electricians choose the most practical installation path.

Electrical Option Approx. Amperage Customer Guidance
220V, 60Hz, 3 Phase Approx. 79 A Available as an option and typically under 100 amps for this model.
480V, 60Hz, 3 Phase Approx. 36 A Good option when the customer wants lower amperage and the facility has 480V service.
600V, 60Hz, 3 Phase Approx. 29 A Standard option for many Canadian industrial facilities and the lowest amperage option listed.

Electrical values are provided as planning guidance only. Final voltage, amperage, breaker size, wiring, transformer needs, and installation requirements should be confirmed by the customer’s licensed electrician based on the final equipment configuration and local electrical code.

Available Product-Handling Configurations

Each fryer size can be configured based on how the product behaves in oil. CM Machine Services can help match the fryer configuration to the product type, frying time, oil control requirements, and production goals.

Option 1: Top & Bottom Universal Mesh Belt

This configuration is designed for direct immersion frying, where the product enters directly into the oil and travels through the frying zone between the top and bottom universal mesh belts.

Best for sinker-type products such as bulk products, vegetables, nuts, snack products, coated products, and items that require controlled immersion in the oil.

  • Direct product entry into the oil
  • Top and bottom belt control
  • Controlled immersion through the fry zone
  • Ideal for products that sink or require belt guidance

Example configuration: direct immersion fryer with top & bottom universal mesh belt.

Option 2: Two Propellers + Top & Bottom Mesh Belts

This configuration is designed for floating-type products where the customer still wants the control of top and bottom mesh belts. The two propellers provide light product movement while the belts help guide product travel through the fry zone.

Suitable for both sinker and floating products that do not require heavy agitation.

  • Top and bottom mesh belt control
  • Light propeller-assisted product movement
  • Useful for floating or partially floating products
  • Good for products that do not require heavy agitation

Example configuration: two propellers with top & bottom mesh belt control.

Option 3: All Propeller / Trawl Propeller Belt System

This configuration is designed for flotation frying and mixed flotation/immersion frying. Trawl propellers help push, move, and agitate products through the fryer when products float on the oil surface.

Best for fully floating products such as chips, potatoes, banana chips, tortilla chips, and similar snack products that require active product pushing and agitation.

  • Designed for flotation frying
  • Trawl propellers push and move floating products
  • Supports mixed flotation and immersion frying
  • Best for chips, potatoes, banana chips, and tortilla chips

Example configuration: all propeller / trawl propeller system for fully floating products.

Choosing the Right Fryer Configuration

Configuration Product Behavior Typical Products
Top & Bottom Universal Mesh Belt Direct immersion / sinker products Vegetables, nuts, bulk snacks, coated products
Two Propellers + Top & Bottom Mesh Belts Floating or partially floating products with light agitation needs Products needing belt control with some product movement
All Propeller / Trawl Propeller Belt System Fully floating products requiring pushing and agitation Chips, potatoes, banana chips, tortilla chips

Optional Exhaust Hood & Fire Suppression Planning

Depending on the installation location, product being fried, local code requirements, and customer facility layout, the 500 x 1000 Inline Continuous Fryer may require an exhaust hood, exhaust fan, fire suppression system, and related installation work. These items should be reviewed during the planning stage with the customer, contractor, electrician, HVAC contractor, and local authority having jurisdiction.

Optional Exhaust Hood

An exhaust hood may be required to help capture grease-laden vapors, heat, and cooking exhaust from the fryer area. Hood requirements can vary depending on the application, local regulations, and the final fryer installation layout.

  • Optional stainless steel exhaust hood available for review
  • Example reference: exhaust hood sized for the 500 x 1000 fryer application
  • Can include stainless steel grease baffle filters and exhaust collar, depending on final design
  • Final hood sizing and code requirements must be confirmed for each installation

Optional Exhaust Fan

An exhaust fan may be required as part of the hood and ventilation system. Airflow requirements depend on hood design, duct layout, building requirements, and local code.

  • Optional exhaust fan may be reviewed with the hood package
  • Example reference: direct-drive centrifugal upblast exhaust fan
  • Fan selection depends on required CFM, duct design, and site conditions
  • Final ventilation design should be confirmed by the customer’s qualified contractor

Fire Suppression & Pre-Piping Notice

CM Machine Services does not supply or install fire suppression systems. Fire suppression design, supply, installation, certification, inspection, and approval must be completed by a qualified third-party fire suppression contractor.

CM Machine Services also does not provide fire suppression pre-piping. Any required pre-piping, nozzles, tanks, controls, interlocks, and final connection work must be completed by the customer’s third-party fire suppression provider according to local code and the final approved installation layout.

Planning Recommendation

Customers should review exhaust, ventilation, fire suppression, electrical interlocks, permits, and installation requirements before purchasing or installing the fryer. Final requirements are site-specific and must be confirmed by the customer’s licensed trades, local inspector, and authority having jurisdiction.
