The cover is clear plastic and comes complete with the magnet molded into the unit along with all the safety caution stickers.
The unit will work with both push button and with magnetic reed switches.
The safety cover when installed and used properly is designed to turn the unit off to prevent injuries if the cover is lifted or removed while in use.
